Our garden design studio & approach.

We combine concept design, technical detail and planting expertise to create gardens that feel considered as a whole – from the first sketch to the final planting plan.

Studio

Every project begins with listening – to your brief, your home and how you want to use the space. From there, we develop a clear concept, detailed layout plans and planting schemes that respond to views, levels, light and daily use.

We collaborate closely with experienced landscape contractors, craftsmen and nurseries to ensure that design intent is carried through with care during construction and planting.

Design approach

Our work is defined by clean lines, soft lighting, balanced proportions and layered planting. We favour natural materials, strong structure and seasonal interest – creating gardens that feel timeless, grounded and quietly luxurious.

Founder & Lead Designer

Benjamin Wincott

Ben is an award-winning landscape designer with more than 25 years of professional experience. His background includes multiple RHS Chelsea Flower Show medals, television landscaping projects, and over 15 years of university-level teaching in garden and landscape design.

Holding an HND in Landscape Construction and a BSc (Hons) in Landscape and Garden Design, Ben brings together creative vision, deep horticultural knowledge and practical construction expertise.

His work is defined by craftsmanship, sustainability and a commitment to design excellence – shaping outdoor spaces that are as enduring and functional as they are beautiful.

Essex – including Chelmsford, Colchester, Brentwood and surrounding villages
London – particularly East, North and Southeast London
Wider Southeast – including parts of Suffolk, Kent and Hertfordshire

Our garden design process

Initial consultation. A site visit to understand your space, discuss your brief, budget and priorities, and outline the most suitable approach.
Design development. Concept plans, layout drawings and – where helpful – 3D visualisations to help you clearly picture the proposed garden.
Technical design & planting. Detailed construction information and planting plans ready for tendering and on-site implementation.
On-site support. We can remain involved during the build and planting stages to help ensure the design intent is carried through.
